10 Fun Ways to Manifest the Get To List!

Continued from December's Newsletter: 12 Reminders For Getting Things Done!  It's a busy time of year, and a time when there is a lot to do. Here are tips for Getting Into Action this month:

1. Create a simple plan, whilst creating a lovely space to be in and choosing a way you want to feel; ease and flow, joyful, excited, inspired, playful, calm, peaceful, fun.

2. Change the 'to do' list into a 'Get To'  list and notice the energy when saying, "I get to do shopping for Christmas presents for the kids and how excited are they going to be.  I get to choose what I am going to ware to the celebration."

3. You get to have fun using different coloured pens, pencils, crayons whilst creating your Get To lists.  Just simply jot down what is in your brain - 'brain dump', keeping a cute note book with you so you can add to it.  This can take away the mind constantly trying to remember.

4. The list helps you know what is there.  Don't get overwhelmed when you look at it. The idea of this list is so that your brain is not working overtime and keeping you awake at night.

5. Prioritize 3 things and do one at a time.  When you have finished that, choose one other item from your Get To list.

6. Create a fun doodle or give yourself a star, a smiley face when you have done it.  You may use different coloured markers to highlight the success of that time.

7. Try to keep the steps really small and simple.

8. Break things down into really small simple steps that are almost laughable.  You can show up for 5 mins for simple steps.  Make it a game.

9. Recruit the family to help, agree to sharing the Get To lists with inspirations of celebrating in some fun way.

10. Give yourself plenty of time.  A celebration could be gifting yourself on the advent calendar and enjoying the fun gift after your small step has been achieved.

Wahoo! Hop, Skip, Jump 75 Ways to Playfully Manifest a Meaningful Life - Review

It is my absolute honor to review this wonderful inspiring guide by Marney Makridakis, called Hop, Skip, Jump: 75 Ways to Playfully Manifest a Meaningful Life which is full of creative, playful ways to manifest tangible results!

I have experienced many of Marney's calls, eBooks, eCourses and currently MMM - Marketing and Mentoring with Marney.  I and most of the clients I am privileged to walk alongside tend to use our left brain, the logical, structured aspects, which is extremely helpful but is not very expansive and does not encourage play and thinking differently and oh having fun in the meantime.

When first introduced to the idea of play for developing myself and my business I was a little skeptical to say the least.  Now years down the line I am a testament to how "play and productivity in order to manifest whatever you desire"  really do work!  Marney explains "manifest means to reveal what is already there to take what already exists and make it clearly and plainly visible."

This is what I love about 'play' you reveal yourself to you.  YOU are the expert! "Play is the portal to presence."  "Play and productivity, the secret is simple: what moves us is what moves us, which simply means what moves us emotionally is what move us to action."  So when it comes to manifesting a meaningful life, play works!

Marney introduces and invites us to be aware of the 3 phases, energies that reveals the values of a right brained approach (play) to productivity.

  • Hopping refers to having an idea or impulse and exploring it in your imagination.
  • Skipping refers to experimenting and trying new things.
  • Jumping refers to quickly moving to action.
Often we can spend most of the time in one phase. You get to play if you wish. There is a fun quiz (link below) that identifies what energy we are mostly in, which can be useful when we want to consistently manifest what WE desire in our life by tapping into the other phases also.

There are 75 Ways to Playfully Manifest a Meaningful Life that are divided into these 3 phases.  Each one is has a 'Fun Fact' that is really interesting, well researched and leads into an easy reading, concept/idea of how to take forward a playful way of producing. Here is an example of one of the 'Playful Ways'.

Hop Phase
An example - No. 8 Learn Your ABC's
Actions, Beliefs and Choices - a new way of goal setting.  I love this and have actually created the ABC Creative Blocks No. 9 on several occasions.

Marney explains the way to breakthroughs, momentum, is not the action alone. It is the belief, the conviction to support your action.  "Choices fills the space between belief and action."

Action: I want to apply for this new job.
Belief: I would need to believe that I would be seen as a good fit.
Choice: I choose to believe that I am right of this job and to go for it!

Your turn:
A is for a action: I want to ...
B is for belief: In order to complete this, I would need to believe ...
C is choice: I choose to  ...

This leads to creating a new habit and a new way of goal setting.  Try it and tap into the energy.  All of the activities hold this essence and are fun to do but very real, tangible and come from you.

This is only one example, there are 74 more!

Each chapter is no more than 3 - 4 pages.  They begin with a fun fact, leading to a quote and a story of how the next activity can inspire you.

There is either:

  • an ACROWHIM - BLOCKS (from creative blocks) = Build Love: Open, Creative, Kinetic Spirit Or
  • a MANIFESTAGRAM- Beliefs and choices = "Be and feel" is so chic! and
  • a fun HAIKOODLE: "play as building blocks, don't worry if they fall down, just create again." and
  • an option to have fun and doodle.
I love this book because finally it explains in a very real, easy tangible way why 'play' works, literally and offers so many fun ways to manifest your desires that are inspired by YOU!

I invite and encourage you to play!  Marney offers a fun quiz and at the end you have the option of receiving a free productivity pack to continue with your 'play' and see for yourself the power of this magical, inspiring approach.  All ideas are shared from this wonderful book, which will never be outdated because you can do exactly the same activity at another time and you will discover something else.  Truly!

You will be the best judge of that so why not watch this short video below. There is a link at the end for a fun quiz to find your  productive manifesting style. Do you HOP, SKIP or JUMP?

Finish the quiz and enter your quiz results over at Artellaland to get a Productivity Pack that is personalized for your specific manifestation type!

You can order the book from Amazon and read lots more rave reviews.

Enjoy

Manifesting through Play!

This continues with the theme from December's Newsletter: 12 Reminders For Getting Things Done!

Having FUN always gets me to show up with an excitement that I look forward to.  I have a smile from the inside out and don't take what I am doing so seriously. Usually magic happens.

I know that PLAY allows my curiosity to thrive and be.  It inspires me to experiment, take risks, makes mistakes in a playful way.  No need to be attached to the outcome because it is a game and wow, what gets revealed is usually pretty unexpected.

Besides that it feels like fun, joy and you feel just great.  The time passes by so quickly!
I know that when we have fun, we are truly connected to our child like selves, gifting ourselves freedom to just be so present in the moment, with no judgments, just being, not questioning.

Play allows us to be so connected to our bodies and so engaged in whatever we are doing. Laughter is so healing and actually fun.  We feel rejuvenated, re-engerized.  We know no limits and expand ourselves without even trying. We are free to hop, skip and jump, like Marney's book.  Bliss!  Click here to play!

I also think it's important to mention that getting things done means that we will not always feels good about it.  It can mean that sometimes we will be saying no to things and people and in the saying no we are saying absolute yes too!

Getting things done does need to be consistent, an action, a doing, a no-nonsense stepping in and saying, "ok, I'm doing this."   Showing up in the doing – while remembering to play - leads to a sense of wellbeing and joy and creating a fully meaningful life.
Make it fun by having a singalong!

Enjoy

DEEP: Body Love's Theme Glorious Audacity

Welcome to this blog which continues the theme of Audacity as featured in September’s 2014 Newsletter: Glorious Audacity

“When we are completely ourselves, we grace the world with a uniqueness that colours it with the interest and the variety brilliantly possible for us as humans.  We live a more fulfilling and energetic life because we are not using all the energy it requires to constantly please others.” Jill Badonsky, The Nine Modern Day Muses and A Bodyguard.

I love this, because, well its true!!  It really is! I have seen countless people transform when they start to get just how much they are being guided by ‘shoulds’, other people’s opinion, living life from the outside.   It is an epidemic and so are the transformations, yay!!!

This is a mantra of mine.  “If I didn't care what other’s thought, what would I do?” This comes from a compassionate place and is always a curious inquiry  I have lost count of how many times I have thought “oh S***” this means I need to do it then.  It has not always worked out as I hoped, in fact a lot times it has not but because it was authentic, coming from my passion from what brings me joy I did not use it as a measure of failure, personally!  I really was proud of myself for giving it go and continue with curiosity, excitement, fear, fun (I love fun) and a feeling of being alive.  I am human and so this does not happen all the time but mostly.

Marney Makridakis from Artellaland shared this prompt:
If Audacity was an animal, maybe it might be a …

My response
If Audacity was an animal, maybe it might be a beautiful vibrant dolphin who allows itself to be.  It swims, dives, plays knows that whoever loves dolphins will enjoy and share in the absolute pleasure of its being and those who don’t, it does not matter.  It would not even have that thought!  It also knows that there are like minded species and it is part of something much bigger.

When I come from this energy, this space, I am so inspired and can take on the energy of this wonderful species to inspire me.  How cool is that!

Now your turn
If Audacity was an animal maybe it might be a …

Would love to hear what you came up with.

Enjoy.

DEEP: Body Love's Theme Reframing Mistakes

Welcome to this blog which continues with the theme of mistakes and practice as featured in August's newsletter: Reframing Mistakes August 2014

Just like everything, becoming comfortable with mistakes is something that comes with practice.  Practicing taking our mistakes, and framing them with kindness and compassion, that can guide us to what next.

Mistakes are a portal to the unknown and wonderful world of discovery.  They also tell us what does not work for us and teach us to discern.

Here are some ways to practice making mistakes:
If you have paper, fold it in half and literally spill some liquid on one side, could be coffee, paint, indian ink and then fold the paper in half to get a mirror image.

Draw and image of a spill, a splash and decorate it.  Play with it, there is no expectation of an outcome and have the intention that you are going to do it really badly.

Write a poem, a haiku really badly, allowing what ever to appear to appear, dont cross anything out and if you do use a coloured pen or doodle the cross out, whilst enjoying the process.

Create a persona of a wonderful mistakes and consult with it.

What else could you try?

Enjoy

DEEP: Body Love's Theme Spills Muse 2

Spills Muse – from Jill Badonsky's Nine Modern-Day Muses (and a Bodyguard) is a fun childlike imp who loves to play and was featured in this month's newsletter:  TEST 5 Ways to Turn Mistakes into Miracles - Phinspiration July 2014

Let's fall in love with spills by exploring them through the language of the senses…..
A spill can sound like the wonderful ocean, showing up on a beach full of shells.  Breathing, moving in and out.
A spill can sound like a child's laughter, giggle.
A spill can sound like a belly laugh right from the core.
A spill can sound like a breath of fresh air, a sigh, an "oh, now that is interesting!"
A spill can sound like an invitation to make more spills and allowing the self to follow the spill.
A spill can sound like an invitation to even more curious questions, play.

Spills lead to adventures and discoveries!  When you think of a spill – a "mistake" that is actually a good, helpful thing – what comes alive in your senses? What might a spill sound, taste, smell, and feel like?
Leave a comment with the first thing that comes to mind!

I love this song full of fun and potential. Enjoy.

DEEP: Body Love's Theme Spills Muse

Spills Muse – from Jill Badonsky's Nine Modern-Day Muses (and a Bodyguard) is a fun childlike imp who loves to play. When I think of Spills Muse, here are some of the ways I envision her:
She is curious and is not guided by rules and regulation.  She is not concerned about matching colours and making rhymes that rhyme.  She is not guided by left brain logic and giggles and laughs at every opportunity.
 If a mistake occurs, Spills she instantly transforms it into a spill like magic and accepts it for what it is.  If it interests her she will continue playing with it, if not she lets it go and moves on.  This knowledge always helps her.
Spills Muse is relaxed, at ease and easily finds the flow in life, in being because she is not caught up in shoulds, oughts, good enough is her motto.  What is most important to her is to pay attention to spills in a non-judgmental way and use what serves her.  Because of her freedom and flow magic happens far beyond anything she could have imagined and in fact she looks forward to spills.
Spills is always present, mindful and in the wonderful process.  She consciously chooses the qualities she wants to experience.
If a mistake looks like a piece of coal, rock, a spill might look like the gem, crystal, diamond inside it.
If a mistake looks like burnt toast, a spill might look like, "oh, need to put down the heat a little for the next lot".
If mistake looks like a piece of rag, a spill might look like it being a wonderful piece of material that could be used to dance with, to collage with, to wrap something in, to quilt.
If mistake looks like broken plates, cups, a spill might look like, "Cool, broken stuff, what can I mosaic, create?"  This actually happened to me.  I broke a favourite plate and thought, "ok, how can I use that?" I am going to make a mosaic for our house number.
What is a recent spill that has happened to you…and what new possibility do you see in it?  Leave a comment to share your awesome ideas!

24 May 2014

This month’s  theme from DEEP Body Love Coaching is Play
DEEP – Phinspire's motto - means "Discover Empower Emerge Play". Here is May’s weekly coaching/blog series which continues from the DEEP Truth of the Month for May: Play is the elixir of life for our bodies, therefore ourselves!

“You are led through your life time by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.” Richard Bach – Illusions

Imagine for a moment if you believed this, that play connects you to you, the real you.  Would you then give yourself permission to play?  This will nurture and develop a healthy relationship with  yourself, resulting in experience less ‘hunger’ for emotion and spiritual needs.

How can you have fun as you connect with your body?
Here are some ideas to get you started:
* painting your nails
* wearing perfume
* wearing makeup if you usually don't, or not wearing it if you usually do
* putting a ribbon/slide in your hair
* new jewellery
* using hand cream
* wearing a scarf
* having a massage
* playing on a bouncy castle
* jumping on a trampoline
* face painting
* singing
* dancing
If you are unsure ask your inner child she will have lots of ideas.
Try these prompts to get you started:
1. To have fun with my body I am going to … and will I do it by …
2. I am looking forward to this because ...
3. My body wants to tell me …
4. I want to tell it …

For more DEEP Body Love support, I invite you to take a look at my newest programme here. We can work with the relationship with your body, food, yourself, which leads to much healthier relationships with others too.  You can book a 30-minute complimentary consultation to get started!

I look forward to you joining me next month for the journey with compassion. What a difference this will make to your life!

Have fun!

Love,

Liz

Today's theme from DEEP is Play

DEEP Truth: Four of Four

Now you get to play, take action.  How would it be if you and/or someone or some people who have been supporting you got together and created a collage all around the things that make you feel special, that you love to do, love to experience, that you dream of.  Others could do this for themselves also.

Consider fun aspects that you may choose just because you can.  What puts a smile on your face and radiates from the inside out?  It could be environments, activities, people, holidays, creativity, dreams, nature, sports, interests, hobbies, quotes, colours, anything.  So everything you collage, draw or paint represents things you like and love.

Now a challenge, perhaps.  Could you place a photo of yourself somewhere in the picture or an image and if it feels uncomfortable, try acting as if you did like/love yourself for 30 seconds, enough time to just present it on your creation, perhaps this may assist. J

A word of caution, some people feel they need to produce a piece of 'perfect' art, and therefore may not start.  This is about the process, having fun, making lots of mistakes, feeling free so that you can connect with what you have created.  All art is quite subjective anyway!!!

I often use collages as a wise sage or muse and ask questions.  You would be surprised regarding the answers you would hear, which of course are from your wise self.  Some questions may be:

*     What do you need me to know today?
*     What would be in my best interest today?

What questions can you come up with that would continue to help you discover what empowers you so that it enables you to emerge to be who you are meant to be and manifests in play, actions that are in standing with the love you are developing you.  Have fun.

Love

Liz
